Duisburg Trams

Picture
The Duisburg tram network, operated by Duisburger Verkehrsgesellschaft AG (DVG), is a key component of the wider Rhine-Ruhr Stadtbahn system. It is notable for having both standard tram lines and a 'Stadtbahn' (light rail) line that connects it directly to Düsseldorf. The network operates on standard gauge, with 750V DC.
The route uses DUEWAG B80D on Line U79 and Bombardier Flexity  (GT8NF3), The Duisburg network offers essential north-south and cross-town connections, with the added benefit of being directly connected to two neighboring city centers (Mülheim and Düsseldorf) via its main tram/Stadtbahn lines.
