Düsseldorf Trams

The Düsseldorf tramway network (known as Straßenbahn in German) is a key part of the city's public transport, working alongside the Stadtbahn (light rail/metro-like system) and the Rhine-Ruhr S-Bahn (suburban rail). The network typically runs on 7 main tram lines (numbered 701, 704 through 709, plus sometimes a peak-hour line 719). The trams generally operate at street level with frequent stops, making them the primary transport for shorter, intra-city travel and serving areas not covered by the underground sections of the Stadtbahn. The modern Düsseldorf tram fleet primarily consists of low-floor trams for improved accessibility.

Siemens NF10 Tram No.2009 arrives at its final stop Düsseldorf Rath witha 701 service from Vennhauser Allee where the service tram will use the turnback sidings to form the next service back on the 26th September 2025.
