Oberhausen Trams

Picture
The tram network in Oberhausen is operated by Stadtwerke Oberhausen (STOAG) in cooperation with Ruhrbahn (the operator for Mülheim and Essen). Currently, Oberhausen is served by one main tram line, Line 112, which connects Oberhausen with the neighboring city of Mülheim an der Ruhr. The total route length of the combined Mülheim/Oberhausen tram network is approximately 20 miles long. The service varies between trams every 10 minutes at peak times to 15/20 minutes during less busy periods.
The trams also share the route with bus services operating a mixture of surface (street running) sections and segregated tunnel and bridge sections exclusively for public transport use.
