Railways of London - 8th September 2026
There is never a dull day in London (even when it rains), with something to see and do while exploring the London Railway scene. Using the London Day Travel Card, the ticket allows unlimited travel on Trains, Buses, trams, and the Tube around the Capital and suburbs.
Tuesday 8th September 2026, I visited London with no real plan other than to capture a stock transfer movement using heritage Class 37 locomotives from Rail Operations Group. The rest of the day fell into place by simply working out which freight services may be running and moving between locations to capture them. After months of record-breaking heat, my visit coincided with a rainy day, which only cleared as we left London to head home to the south west.
The Capital has a wealth of colour, architecture and variety of rail services to share, this gallery records my visit on the 8th September 2026.
