Scotland - April 2025

Between the 31st March and 4th April I ventured to the lowlands of Scotland using Stirling as a base for a week of exploring the Glasgow and Edinburgh areas by train. Scotland is well known for its investment in public services and it certainly shows, with plenty of high quality, fast and punctual services. During the week long visit we used a three day Central Scotland Rover ticket which covered a vast area between Glasgow and Edinburgh allowing unlimited travel and a one day SPT Rounabout ticket. This ticket is sold within the Strathclyde Passenger Transport area and for the cost of £7 a day covers a more central radius of around 11 miles around Glasgow.
