The final day in Basel was spent exploring the city. Exploring Basel on foot offers a glimpse into a city where medieval history and modern efficiency seamlessly intertwine. This compact Swiss metropolis is best discovered by stepping off the main thoroughfares and into its captivating labyrinth of hidden passageways. Steep cobblestone lanes and narrow passageways cut through the Old Town, offering quiet corridors away from the bustling streets. Our morning was spent recording the modern tram network amongst the history of the city before returning to just outside Basel SBB to connect with the No.50 bus service to Basel Mulhouse Airport.
