Saturday 26th April 2014, Southern Reigon Pacific No.34046 'Braunton' passes Dawlish running tender first. The locomotive had previously hauled 'The Great Britain' charter from London Victoria to Exeter. From Exeter the charter reverted to heritage diesel haulage, while the steam locomotive worked forward to Plymouth and St Blazey in preparation for the next days charter.
Saturday 19th April saw LNER A4 Pacific No.60007 'Sir Nigel Gresley' return to the South West hauling 'The Dartmouth Express', the locomotive was deputizing for two previous advertised steam locomotives. The original plan was for the locomotive to be attached to the Guildford - Kingswear service at Westbury, this was later changed to Taunton. , No.60007 powers 'The Dartmouth Express' through Tiverton hauling the 1Z32 07:50 Guildford to Kingswear charter.
